Venues

A resource of venues, bands, performance calendars, and jazz festivals including reviews, photos, and visitor feedback. Initially this website will mostly cover the Southern California, Portland - Oregon, Vancouver - Washington, London - England, and a few other areas that I occasionally visit. Eventually we will be seeking volunteers to help expand the geographic coverage of this web site.

What is a "Jazz Den"? A "Jazz Den" is a venue with bar or restaurant type seating that serves drinks, and usually also food, that you can consume while listening to a live music performance. Table and bar seating will usuall be available. The performance might be indoors or on an outdoor patio. Theaters, concert halls, stadiums, auditoriums and arenas are not "Jazz Dens".

In addition to jazz, this site also lists venues of other types of music such as blues, classic rock, folk, etc. Where a particular venue or band features jazz or blues at least sometimes, that will be indicated with a color tag such as JAZZ, BLUES, etc. Where a venue or band is not tagged, that venue or band features multiple styles of music. Please contact the venue to learn what type of music will be featured for a particular performance.

Venues that are marked with the highlighted word: NEW! are not new venues, but rather venues that have been recently added to this list.
